Hi all,

Did anyone have any luck with finding out about gender selection on frozen embryos?

Thanks

Hi there,

I'm a mum of 2 boys and I really would love to have a little girl. I know for some it might be a shocking idea to go out and have the sexe of your baby predetermined but I'm really fealing sad and incomplete.

I heard about North Cyprus and found 2 clinics: 1) Team Miracle Cyprus IVF Centre (http://www.cyprusivfcentre.com/gender-selection-cyprus-family-balancing/); 2) British Cyprus IVF Centre (http://www.cyprusivf.com/gender-determination/).

Does anyone has any experience to share or any recommendations?

I was also wondering about the total costs (pre-testing, meds, travel and hotel, actual procedure, post procedure treatment). Is it an estimate they give you or is it really what they say. I heard it's around 15.000 € all in, which is quite a budget and not really room for extra's there if you know what I mean.

many thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Hi Aurélie,

I can really understand your wish for a little girl and it is not shocking at all for me.  I always think that if we have the opportunity we have to go for it.

Concerning Cyprus Clinics, I had a tandem cycle treatment at British Cyprus IVF and I am really happy with the result. I am pregnant after I tried 6 times at other clinics :)
However I don't have much information about the gender selection there but you can easily have a response by calling them.
I can recommend the clinic because for me what matters is how you feel with the team and the doctors and at British Cyprus IVF they are really present during the whole process and even after.

Good luck and let us know :)

Hi ladies,

We are really blessed to have two gorgeous boys - the first was a miracle baby who was magically conceived naturally; our second is an PGD baby, born after two IVF attempts. Through both IVF procedures, we learnt that my egg quality is very poor and almost all of our embryos end up with chromosomal abnormalities - hence when we've tried to become conceive naturally I will often end up pregnant only to lose the baby during the first trimester.

Our second son is only small, but already I have a really strong feeling that our family is not yet complete. If we try for another baby it is likely we will go down the IVF route with PGD again to avoid transferring an abnormal embryo. But if we are going to have the chromosomes tested anyway then I would very much like to hope that we would also be able to select the gender and opt for a little girl. To increase the odds of this, I am interested in Microsort, but I understand that only North Cyprus IVF clinic offers this.

Does anyone have any experience of Microsort or Dr. Savas Ozyigit at North Cyprus IVF? And if so, can anyone advise if they would do a fresh transfer or whether it would be frozen and over what time period?

Many thanks and baby dust to you all.
xx

Inaaya I didn't do gender selection but just done a donor egg cycle at Dunya IVF in Kyrenia who also offer GS. They've been brilliant from day 1 and felt they were great at patient care and Dr Berk is fabulous. Also you mention on the Dogus thread your lining issues, have you ever tried vaginal viagra pessaries, they've helped a lot of ladies with thickening lining? Think there's plenty of discussions here if you search, I ordered some from John Bowen in Singapore for my first cycle just in case but luckily my lining was ok in scans so only needed to use a few, plus didn't make it to transfer anyway.

Hey Shelbo
Thank u!

I’ve tried vaginal Viagra pessaries when I was with serum it did nothin to increase my lining just made me extremely sore and not sure if it caused it but when I did have lining scan I had so much fluid in my uterus

I contacted duniya but they are so expensive compared to dogus
I was impressed with their speedy and informative response though xx
