hello ladies,

when you changed from 50mgs to 100mgs did you take two tablets a day for less days?? i have been told to take two 50mg tablets each day.

had three cycles on 50mgs from cycle days 2-6 and i have been told to take two tablets but he never stated if i change the amount-days in the cycle?  and for some strange reason its nice to know how others have been told to take it !!

Maybe i should contact him?

Posted you a reply to this yesterday but looks like it didnt come through.

When your dosage is increased you just take the 2 tablets on the same 5 cycle days.  I was on 50mg days 2-6 so when my dose was upped this month I took 100mg on days 2 - 6.  Unless your consultant tells you otherwise this is what you should do.

having clomid issues myself.  Had one child on clomid, she's 2 1/2 now.  Only took 150mg to conceive her.  we r wanting 2nd child now.  Finished with 200 mg on August 20th.  Nothing so far,  got + OPK on day 20 of cycle, I think, taken 2 preg tests now....nothing.  Worried OB doesn't know if she'll do more than 200 mg or if she'll even repeat the 200.  may send me to specialist.  How can it work one time and not a 2nd time

clomidagain- so sorry to hear about the troubles you are having.  I have a friend who i met on another fertility board a couple of years ago and she could not ovulate at all on Clomid and was on and off it on various doses.  Finally she got put on the injectibles and Im happy to say they worked and she got PG first time!  There is hope for us all.

Try and keep your spirits up.  Clomids effects are cumulative so just because it hasnt worked yet there is nothing to say it wont work next month.  Speak to your consultant and make them aware of your frustrations and ask them what the next step is.  Tell them you are scared about stopping treatment after one failed cycle.  I know they dont like to keep you on a high dose of clomid for long due to the possibility of overstimulation of the ovaries but Im sure if you share your fears with them they will advise where to go from here.

Best of luck to you.  I have no children yet, I was on Clomid 6 months last year and am on my 4th cycle this time around with another 5 to go.  Then its a 3-5yr wait for IVF if this fails.  I completely sympathise with your frustrations.  If you want to talk about it, have a rant or just need a shoulder to cry on then PM me, Im usually around most days during the week.

hiya, yep i went upto 100mg which is 2 tablets a day for the five days.  From this week I'm upto 150mg so that will be 3 tablets a day for five days.
