Hi there, I was looking at the Herts and Essex website and I noticed this site.  After getting up the nerve i have decided to formally introduce myself.  I'm 34, DH is 38 and we have a DS who is 3 1/2.  He was conceived naturally.

My life history over the last few years is quite extensive so to bullet point ...
1) brain tumour in Feb 2006
2) after conceiving naturally - took 9 months - had a still birth at 24 weeks in May 2007  :'(
3) have slightly high FSH levels and told i need fertility treatment
4) currently on 2nd cycle of IUI at UCH ACU in London  ^pray^

It is so nice to meet like minded people and I hope to get to know you all very soon.  :)

Laura

p.s. I live in Barnet if anyone lives near by

^hello^
& Welcome to FF Laura ^hugme^

I am really sorry to read of your loss, (was the baby a Son or Daughter ? )
and subsequent need for fertility treatment, that on top of having a brain tumor must be very hard to live with, was it benign ???

I am glad youve found FF as I know that there are many on here who can relate to where you are now, and many more who can give friendship and support as you embark on tx, and the next pregnancy ^reiki^

I am going to leave you some direct links to boards here on FF - that you may or may not have found, I would like to encourage you to post in these areas to build friendships and support from members who really do have an understanding of your situation,
You may find there is an active running thread for ladies having treatment at the same clinic as you check both the ICSI & IVF boards as we don't have separate clinic threads for each.

thanks dizzi for the kind reply.  my baby was a little girl called Jessica.  Stillborn at 24 weeks.  but very proud to have had her in my life for that time.

my brain tumour was benign ... phew!

other than that i'm relatively normal  ;D

I'll go on the other links ... thanks for those

Laura ^hugme^ I like to think our babies are in a better place and watching us,
and that sad and unimaginable as it is there was a reason Jesica left this world too soon
sorry If ive said the wrong thing ^eyes^
