We were told on Wednesday that we are being reffered to a fertility specialist as DH has a low sperm count. I had a hormone blood test which came back normal and previously to TTC I had  Laparoscopy and 2 ultrasound scans which all returned normal results so it does look as though it's just the low count that has stopped us conceiving.

We have been TTC since December 2009 so I know not long compared to some but quite a while for us. I have joined this forum to read up on other people experiences as I really don't know what to expect.

to FF, Ronniesgirl!!! This is a great website for support, information, laughter and friendship, it has kept me (relatively!) sane though all my treatment. Have a good look round the site, post in whatever section you want and make yourself at home. There are so many sections here with a huge amount of information, so whatever you are going through there will be someone here to help you.

We have a section for male factors ~ CLICK HERE. The lovely members there should be able to help you with any questions you might have.

We also have The Mens Room ~ CLICK HERE which is for men to discuss their problems. I don't know if you DH would be interested in that.

You can read the treatment diaries of others to get a feel for what is involved in their treatment ~ CLICK HERE

There are also chat boards for the different types of treatment, obviously you don't know what sort of treatment you will be going for, so here are both the IVF and ICSI sections -

IVF chat ~ CLICK HERE
ICSI chat ~ CLICK HERE

Which clinic are you going to? If you look on the main forum index you will find location boards. You can find others in your area, and even people going to the same clinic who will provide invaluable advice - some groups even have meet ups.

Obviously once you have had your appointment and some sort of plan of action we can point you to more parts of FF that will be relevant.

The What Every New Member Needs To Know (includes a list of common abbreviations) thread will give you some info on how to navigate the site ~ CLICK HERE

We also have a newbie night in the chat room every Wednesday where you can meet other new members and a few more experienced (I won't use the term "old"!) members will be there to answer any questions you have about the site. CLICK HERE FOR INFO ON NEWBIE CHAT

Please feel free to ask more questions here, or on any other part of the site, there will be wonderful helpful people there to give you lots of support, information and cyber hugs if you need it. We go through all the highs and lows of treatment together.

Good luck! ^reiki^ ^reiki^ ^reiki^ ^reiki^ ^reiki^ ^reiki^
