hello to everyone i am glad that i joined this website. am 25yrs old and have been trying to concieve for nearly 4 years so the docs have done all tests such as scan, blood test.. flopian tubes. etc.... but found nothing wrong with me.. so they have found out that my husband has low sperm count and are transfering us to ivf.. i wanted to know that has anyone else been in the same situation as me. and that how many percentage will it work.. thank u

Hello Shaz - I'm new here too.
We share the same story insofar as my husband has sperm issues.
I don't know about percentages because there are SO many variables. I'm sure your practioner will go through this with you both. It got so overwhelmed with the statistics and percentiles, that I had to just "let it be" - whatever happens, will happen.  I know it's probably NOT what you want to hear, but I know too well that I'd get wound up in the detail, when I sense this is perhaps a ride that should be enjoyed - however it far it takes me.
Whatever your choice is - I wish you well!

i think i just briefly bumped into u in the chat rooms!!??!!
I, to am new (and green ) to this site but also sooo gratefull for it.
we are jus about to start our 2nd round of ivf now ( due to the first one failing due to me not responding to the meds)...its mainly me that has the problems but it came back  that my husband has a low n lazy sperm count too!!!!
I can only share with you, the advice i was given and we was told a low sperm count is not to much of a problem, there are many things they can do to help with this when on the path of ivf...
So try not to worry yourself to much,
I remember through my first lot of ivf i had sooo many questions and used to always forget to ask, so now if i think of somat i wanna ask, i write it down and then take the listwith me...
I hope i have been helpfull to u if anything just remember your not alone...GEEE and aint that a relief...

(This is a breakdown of the procedure of IVF which is the same as ICSI up until the point of fertilization, With ICSI the embryologist injects one good sperm into one good egg, and repeats until all are used. So it gives them a helping hand, with IVF the eggs and sperm are left to fertilize by themselves)

ryteeo every1 av started my periods so i rang em and thet asked me details of when i started and a told em so hopefully they going to ring me tomarro and tell me when to come in for my blood test and ultra scan they als o gna do a sperm test on my husband on monday! has an1 been in the same boat as me??
