Hi

I have just finished my 1st attempt at ICSI, which resulted in a bfn and we are looking forward to starting our 2nd go.

Ihave been told by a friend that she was told to eat foods that are high in selenium while on her 2ww. I was just wondering what selenium can do for a woman on the 2ww as I thought that selnium helped with sperm production??

also any ideas which foods are high in selenium
thanks leanne xx

Hi,
sorry about your BFN.  ^hugme^

I'm not a nurse but the books have told me that selenium is an antioxidant which helps prevent miscarriage and that's why it's recommended in the 2ww.  Sunflower seeds and brazil nuts are good things to eat.
I ate these in my 2ww mixed into my breakfast muesli!

It is also supposed to help with sperm formation too.
