Greetings one and all. Just a brief post to say there's a new guy on the board.
I'm a pretty poor swimmer and it seems it's not just me, so we're starting an ICSI cycle at Bourn Hall shortly. It's all a little strange and a little scary.
It's been an aggravating process getting to this point. The NHS consultants were nice, but pretty useless. It might have been possible to get something done through the NHS, but they kept delaying and it seeemed unlikely they would help. After 3 sperm tests they were saying the results were borderline, when Bourn Hall only needed one test to say that there was no chance of conceiving naturally and we should go for ICSI.
Even when it seemed likely to be male factor the NHS consultant wanted to put my wife on Clomid for 6 months, which was the last straw and we opted for referral to Bourn Hall instead.
Now we're getting ready to go and it all seems a little unreal and a bit strange.
