Hi all, I'd just like to say what a fantastic supportive website. I wish I had found it before when I was going through my treatment.
I have unexplained infertility which was diagnosed after the normal tests. I then went down the clomid route for nine months but nothing happened not even a whiff of a BFP, so we were then put on the waiting list for IVF. Started on the IVF route and didn't respond to the drugs very well and only had two reasonably sized follicles on one side. We were advised to cancel the cycle and have IUI instead. To our great surprise this worked first time. The pregnancy, however, was extremeley stressful. I had horrible ms and felt ill for the first 15 weeks. As it was also an aided pregnancy I had to go for numerous scans. One of the scans showed that at 10 weeks the baby had an extended nuchal thickness and foetal hydrops. I was advised to have a termination but a CVS showed that the karyotype was normal. Therefore against medical advice I decided to continue with the pregnancy (but was advised that there was a great risk of intauterine death). I now have a 7 month old perfectly healthy daughter.
I would really love another child and for G to have a brother or sister to play with.
Anyway I wanted to say that I'm thinking of you all and hoping that your dreams come true soon.
