I have been trying to conceive for 4 years and have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility and have just completed 3 unsuccessful months of Clomid.  I have read that one cause of infertility could be a hostile PH balance and I do often get yeast infections, could this be a reason and if so, does anyone know what I can do about it?

Some clinics still do something called a post coital test (pct), which basically checks the mucus around the point of ovulation several hours after you make love to see if the mucus is hostile to the sperm and killing them off. Most clinics just move couples straight to IUI treatment as the pct can give variable results. This is the only test I can think of which would help in this instance. It can't get rid of the problem, just identify it and suggest treatment options.

Thanks Ruth - I was actually considering IUI as a next step so am happy to hear it will help if that's the problem.
