Hi there

I know when some people go for IVF their tx is swopped to ICSI on the day due to sperm quality. And that some people going for ICSI, actually do a split cycle - say half IVF and half ICSI.

Can anyone tell me how good or bad the sperm needs to be to change for IVF to ICSi or from ICSI to a split ICSI/IVF cycle.

Does the number of eggs available make any difference either?

thanks

i think this varies from clinic to clinic and for each individual it really is a decision for the embryoligist and the consultant to advice on for you

do check with your clinic for their take on this

best of luck
