Went for follow up appointment today and they said there is absolutely no reason why it isn't working. It is either the embies are not getting to bastocyst stage or they are just not implanting on. I have asked for every possible test to be done before I start another attempt. They are doing all the immune issues for me and the one which has to be sent to America (don't know whether Mr Beer is involved or not). They have also mentioned they will try 'viagra' next time. Well my face hit the floor. I nearly ****** my self laughing (sorry tmi). Apparently yes they use it and recommend it in my case. It is suppose to help with blood flow to the uterus. A fellow 2ww'er has just got a BFP using viagra after many failed attempts So hey presto, finger's crossed.

Hi Kitty

Viagra!! Who would believe it! Go for it girl!
I was thinking of the theory of implantation myself the other day and wondered how I could improve it, I was thinking of taking extra iron, not sure what that would do?!? They say orgasms increase blood flow too, maybe you could try a few of those after ET??! Anyway good luck, you'll get your baby soon.

Hi Kitty,

As you know I got a negative on the same day as you. I am thinking about changing my clinic. (was at BArts moving to Lister). I had the initial consultation at Lister before this FET cycle. They have asked me to test for 'killer cells'. I am not sure when I should start the next cycle. I got my period yesterday and can potentially start a fresh cycle this month..the waiting around just drives me mad. Maybe I should see the consultant at Lister again and ask for more tests???

When do you plan to start the next cycle?

Love, Justme

Hi Kitty

I found this today which is quite interesting........

Sildenafil (Viagra) Therapy
When aspirin is unsuccessful in improving uterine blood flow or if the miscarriages are associated with a thin (less than 9 mm) uterine lining, sildenfil (Viagra) has been used successfully to increase uterine blood flow. Viagra in the form of vaginal suppositories given in the dosage of 25 mg four times a day has been shown to increase uterine blood flow as well as thickness of the uterine lining. To date, we have seen significant improvement of the thickness of the uterine lining in about 70% of women treated. Successful pregnancy resulted in 42% of women who responded to the Viagra. It should be remembered that most of these women had previously experienced repeated IVF failures.

Did you take aspirin? I was maybe thinking of taking a small dose myself. The viagra looks promising, its from this website......

Thanks girls for all your replies.

Hollie: I have used aspirin in all my attempts, it is standard at my clinic. Ask at your chemist for baby aspirin and take 1 a day. I have also read those web sites and I must admit I am impressed.

Will keep you all posted. Just waiting to hear from my clinic

Hi Kitty

So sorry to hear that your latest txt was unsuccesful, we went through our 2ww together in March and I was really hoping this one would work for you.
I saw you post and thought I would let you know that we went for our 1st appt since March last week and like you they have no idea why it isnt working. I am going to have loads of blood tests taken tom, not NK cells although I did suggest that!!! Our consultant also talked to us about Viagra and I think my reaction was pretty similar to yours and my dh just wanted to know if he could have some!!!
Please let me know how you get on as we seem to be in a very similar position to each other and it will be interesting to see what happens for both of us

Kitty, like you I got my bfn last week also, it was my 2nd, I remember you from the babycentre board. I read your post about the viagra and couldn't believe it, my lining was only 7.9mm this time and 7.8mm last time and my clinic just gave me pessaries, no added injections or anything. I really believe the viagra could sort me out.

I rang my clinic today and suggested it to them (how bold am I) for my FET if that goes ahead. They said they will definitely have to give me something to boost it and have used 'viagra' in 1 or 2 cases so it is a possibility. Thank you so much for putting the message on, take care and stay in touch
