Help !
I have had the results of my progesterone levels today and they were only 3.5 ( my previous result taken in march was 26.9) I am worried to death about it. My cycle is 28 days and my 3 day hormone levels were normal. I took this sample late at night after I had eaten could that be the cause or should I be worried??

No, eating does not affect levels, you may have just not ovulated that month which does happen and perfectly normal.

Hi Ruth and Eddie,

I also had a progesterone level of 3.5 on CD19

Does this indicate a non-ovulatory cycle for me too?

I have been trailing the internet for some info on this subject and have found quite abit that says and I quote

"It is important to measure progesterone levels early in the morning and while fasting. After meals and later in the day the level can be significantly lower causing a false sense of concern"

Needless to say I wont be making that mistake again, though am reasured that if it was an acurate reading its not all doom and gloom. Thanks for the advice
