I know they are a bit cheaper than Isida, (cause Isida is a new hospital and IRM is not) and have not been taking oversea's patients for that long, but I've no idea what success rates are like. I imagine they are probably very similar. I hear Oleg, the co-ordinator is very good at sorting things out for oversea's patients.

Good luck

Hi Ladies ~  This is my first post on the board, so first a little background.  I started TTC for the first time at 39 years old.  We tried on our own for a year or so before going to a fertility specialist in Chicago.  We tried a few cycles with Clomid, a few cycles of  IUI and finally an IVF.  All failed.  After the IVF we had used the maximum health benefit allowed by our insurance for infertility.  And honestly, at this point, I just didn’t have the will to go on any longer anyway.

The IVF was 2 years ago and for the past few months DH has been nudging me toward DE. Though I had a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of using another woman’s egg, I have decided to give it a try.

DH is from Ukraine and he is currently talking to one of the coordinators at IRM in Kiev.  Has anyone ever used IRM and have any feedback on the clinic?  I notice that a lot of you ladies are using Isida and wonder if you’ve chosen Isida over IRM for any particular reason.

Thanks for any info ~

Try Yahoo Groups Conceiving Abroad. Most women there are at Ukraine, in Kiev or Lviv (which is also good but slightly cheaper)I will introduce you if need be, just check it out first, Love babyblissX
PS also Russianivf, but I'm not on that one...

babybliss - first of all, congrats on your bfp...looks like you got the bfp on your first try at isida.  hope everything is going well for you with your pregnancy.  i did a search on yahoo groups for russianivf but nothing came up other than a group on surrogacy...and then the link didn't work.  the conceiving abroad group search says i can't post unless i'm a member...do u think anyone there would have info on IRM?

I really appreciate the intro to the Ukraine group.  It's funny...I put DH in charge of coordinating this since it's his country,  and because of language issues, etc.  But I guess I don't trust putting him fully in charge of this...he's a good guy but not a great coordinator -- so I do look forward to hearing other people's firsthand experience.

Feel free to PM me -- or if you need my personal email or any other info, just let me know.

Cheers - Terri

just a little bump...

i have an appt. at IRM in Kiev Dec 18 for DE/IVF and am wondering if anybody has any info on them or knows how i may join the yahoo groups/conceiving abroad.  I'm trying to get a little firsthand feedback on the clinic, or see if maybe we should change to Isida before we get too far with IRM.  I will need to get started on blood work, etc, sometime next month, so am getting a little nervous.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
terri

Hi

I am using the IRM clinic for DE. I think that i must be one of the few to report back on it. I am pleased with the IRM so far. I have already had one visit to the clinic, and will be going back next week for DE.

I liked it that they insisted on a first visit even though i originally wanted to do everything with my clinic here and just go to IRM for the DE.

I looked on it that they wanted to give me the best possible chance by checking me theirself rather than just taking another doctors word.

Oleg the coorinator looked after me in Kiev and answered all my questions. He had a taxi meet me at the airport, and my hotel, and showed me the clinic. The relationship with the clinic really starts after that first visit, once they realise you are serious.

I would say that i am pleased so far, and have built a good relationship with the clinic. I am looking forward to next week. The clinc will book you an apartment if you need, but i found it convenient to book the flight and hotel as a package on the expedia site. Really competitive.

This is my first attempt at DE, after 2 previous failed icsi. I have also decided that if it does not work it will be my last attempt. Wish me luck, whoever reads this.

Thanks Going again. Just read your reply. Good luck to you as well. I read your post on another thread and noticed that you are also going for blastocyst transfer. Good choice.

Hi great news on your bfp ;D.

I was wondering how much it cost for the donor egg cycle. I have emailed but they insist on a visit. I need to know how much to save up. Where is the clinic based and is it easy to get too.

Thanks

Hi Willow

Haven't been on here a while so missed this post. Just responded to your message as well. So everyone knows the IRM is a clinic based in Kiev. Easy to get to. Treatment costs about £3,500 for DE.

Excellent results, i had one treatment, 3 blasts transferred ( they were careful in the ones they chose, so that i would'nt end up with 3), and one took. I am now nearly 16 weeks pregnant.

I made the right choice with the clinic i chose. Incidentally while i was there there were about 10-15 couples in my hotel using Isida at the same time. I later heard from one of the girls that none of them were successful on that trip. They went back again, and i have heard that one of the couples have now been successful. To me that shows the success rate of IRM compared to Isida. I was the only one that went to IRM.

Also, the doctors used were not the Isida doctors, but doctors that came over from London.

So i would use the Ukraine doctors, i think that they are more experienced plus they are using their own hospitals and equipment..

Hi All :) :) :)

I am going to start a thread for the IRM, as there has been a couple of us on here that have had first time successes with the IRM clinic, and there does not seem to be much info about it.

Plus, i would like to chat to others that have used it. It does not seem right for me to go onto the ISIDA thread instead.

Any questions anyone, feel free to ask.

Aud ;) ;)
