Hello my name is shelbe, I am 40 and have just started the stims for ivf #2.  Yesterday at my first bw/us check up the DR noticed 1 leftover follicule.  She did not seem to be concerned.  Have you ever heard of such a thing and is this common?  Why would there be a follicule left after ER?  I would appreciate any advise or comments on this you would be able to offer.  Thanks.  Shelbe

Really depends on what day of your cycle you are so to whether a follicle would be present. If mid cycle then very normal.

Thank you Ruth for your help.  I suppose the follicule was nothing to worry about in fact I have more follies and they are growing at the same rate this time.  I am scheduled for transfer on Thursday.  Keeping my fingers crossed.  Thanks again Ruth.
