Hi,
Is anybody there with thin lining and got BFP?
My first DE transfer been cancelled as my lining wasn't getting thicker enough. I made it to 6.4mm on day 18. I was devastated as the minimum they transfer is 7mm.
Second time I made it to 7.4mm by day 20 with stronger meds but after 2WW still got BFN. We using a donor under 35. I'm 44. What else can be the issue? Uterus not receptive enough? Or the NK cells? TIA

Lining problems can be a real nightmare.
Have u tried the following:
Beetroot juice
Pomegranate juice
Heated Caster oil packs
Raspberry leaf tea (i had success with this 1)
Acupuncture/reflexology

Sadly even with donor eggs it can still be a numbers game.

Hi K Jade,
Thank you for your reply.
I did have two rounds of acupuncture in the past and one reflexology. I also eat a lot of beetroot cos I love it ☺
I will buy some raspberry leaf tea and pomegranate juice. Is pomegranate seed just as good? Cos I do add them to my salad and yoghurt occasionally.
I had a little more browse on here this afternoon and found a very good post about supplements. So I'll go shopping tomorrow 😊
I was just wondering if anyone had similar issues with their lining being too thin and still managed to get BFP.
Do you also have thin lining?
X

What protocol do they have you on? My first cycle of DE IVF they had me on a lower dose of oestrogen and it took forever for my lining to get to the 8mm they wanted and had to keep going back for scans until it was thick enough for them to start. 2nd round in Northern Cyprus I was on up to 6 oral and 3 vaginal oestrogen daily and I was over 8mm by the time of my first scans. Might be worth discussing oestrogen with them?

Hi Tanda,
I was on 4x2mg estrogen oral and patches every second day first, when I didn't get to 7mm.
So at the second cycle they changed it to 5x2mg estrogen per day, estrogen patches every second day and had Viagra per day to boost blood circulation every day.
I'll have my follow up appointment soon, will definitely discuss the protocol. Thank you for the advice.
I also looked at some natural remedies and I will add more vitamins for my next round for sure.
Are you in the TWW?
Baby dust for you 😘

In my complicated fertility journey I started to have lining problems at some point. Acupuncture didn’t help. What helped was viagra - even taken orally. I only took it orally during one cycle (that got cancelled anyway because my lining improved too late). After that, I took it in the form of suppositories that one of Serum’s contacts supplies. (I wasn’t under Serum, but I had a hysteroscopy with them during that period when I fought for my lining. I believe you can find details of how to order Viagra suppositories in either Agathe’s immunes FAQ or in Serum’s section. FYI, Serum is a famous Greek IVF clinic with great results). I conceived on my third transfer using Viagra. Not on the first or second to be fair. In all cases it was donor eggs. There might have been some other factors that helped me to conceive - could have been the intralipids that were used at the time of the third transfer or just the passage of time (and healing of inflammation). But with regards to lining, Viagra made an observable difference (and acupuncture didn’t). I now have 2.5 year old twins. If you can’t find any info on this Viagra supplier, pm me and I will try to dig out the emails - but I,m sure that the search of the forum or ladies in the Serum section should be helpful.

No worries hoping it all works for you 😊. Oh I always had 75mg ot 100mg aspirin every day aswell, I remember the UK clinic telling me blood flood to uterus was v important. I also did lots exercise (running, Yogaburn, etc) .
We have just completed our 4th transfer but sadly BFN so waiting for period to arrive 😔.
Best of luck to you xx

Thank you Aster 10.
They did give me Viagra at the second time under the name of sildenofil orally. And it probably helped, cos at the first stimulation I only took estrogen patches and pills orally and didn't make it til 7mm. I guess that's why they added to my protocol.
When you say was too late, how long did they wait? With my first they cancelled on day 18 after the third monitoring scan, second time they waited til day 20 and I had 4 scans, when they finally said there's s nice triple lining 7.4mm. Also told in my case they won't wait to be 8, was happy to grow above 7.
I will definitely bring the question of medication protocol up at my follow up appointment and see what they say.
Thank you and congratulations on your twins 😘❣

Oh jeez, four transfer. It must be hard mentally. It was my third one-had two with my own eggs in the past, but I'm too old apparently to try again, hence bought the donor eggs.
How many frosties you have? I sometimes wonder when I ll stop trying, when is enough is enough. But I know I'm not there just yet. As long my body can play alongside.
I do yoga, yes 😊 and used to cycle to work but it's too cold now. We are a very active couple,so hiking, lots of walking are included in our life style. Luckily I'm in good shape.
I read about aspirine, but it is a blood thinner and not sure I need it. I'll ask it at my follow up appointment as well, thank you. They gave me Viagra which also helps with the blood circulation down there 🙈
I'm also waiting for AF to arrive. It's hard, isn't it? Lady time when they cancelled my cycle due to the thin lining,I was already pumped up on medication, so waited 45 days for my period...hope it will come earlier this time.

Thank you! I think it was cancelled on day 17 in that fateful cycle. I did not respond to estrogen - my lining was just above 4mm on day 12 I think and didnt change much after a double dose of estrogen (12 mg daily) for two days. And then from day 14 I took viagra and it was 6.75 at day 17, but it was too late, especially after so much estrogen.

Just looking through emails - that cycle was in October, and then the lining started to improve little by little on Viagra, so I had two failed implantations between October and July, cannot remember the thickness in these failed cycles, but in July when I conceived the lining was 10.9 mm on day 14.

Gosh, 12mg estrogen! That's quite high dose. The Viagra! Yes. I did not believe first it will make difference but it did to me as well.
I was wondering why they let me go til day 20 🤔 and didn't cancelled second time.
Maybe third time lucky 🤞
10.9 is amazing result knowing how hard it was and how long it took to you to get there. I'm glad you're outcome was positive.
And thank you to took time and responded. Are you trying now as well to get siblings for the twins?
