Hi Ms D

I am actually here in Dubai at the moment but only visiting for two weeks.

On a recommendation from Tinks last week, I was seen the next day at a clinic called the Dubai Fertility clinic with whom I found to be absolutely excellent. (I am with the Lister in London) but decided to start another cycle whilst here and was able to get an appointment with the COnsultant who was able to scan me first to check I was ready to d/reg and then gave me the one off injection which d/regged me. This saves on the horrible sniffing sequence which we have in England. I will return to London this week and will start stimms immediately on my return.

I can thoroughly recommend them because their technology and scan equipt. is far superior to that which I have had in the UK.

If you need telephone numbers and addresses, then please feel free to IM me and I will send it all to you.

In case you are nervous about tx out here, all I can say is that I was totally at ease here and found that they couldnt have been more helpful if they had tried. A real bonus!

Good luck,

Dawn x

Hi Dessert Girl and Sharry I hope that you are both well, anyhow Lisa its sad that you have gone bak, but I was thinking Dessert girl if you fancy meeting up just let me know Sharry and i have met up already so if you fancy just having a natter or moan just let me know, I see that you have just registered here so are you having treatment? I am with Dr Koster at the Dubai London Clinic, i think that I am driving her mad as I think that I know it all cause I spend time reading these boards its a wealth of information.

Anyhow Keep in touch

Hello Desert ladies  :)

I am here in Dubai too. Just started first IUI cycle with Dr Moh'd (who is lovely) at DGFC. Having IUI on Sunday and a bit nervous about it all...rather than praying for a positive result I seem to be just panicing about multiple births (twins ok but any more - too scary!)

I also was seeing Dr Kosta before, but after my m/c and TTC for more than 2 years it was time to move on to the specialists......

If any of you are going through similar treatment, would love to chat as am really boring my DH with it all at the moment!

Hi

Been TTC for over 2 1/2 yrs....had one m/c. Was trying a whole host of natural treatments (seeing Dr Maria at the Dubai Herbal Treatment Centre), went to Dubai G&F clinic about a month ago and immediately started first IUI cycle along with some accupuncture and chinese medicine (thought I would give everything a go!!). Doctors and nurses there are great. There are also no waiting lists so you can just get on with it, unlike I hear in the UK.

Lets see, I know the success rate is low for IUI but trying to stay as positive as possible. If it doesn't work I have a fab holiday booked at the end of the month to look forward to instead and then back to rainy UK in August!

Hope all of your treatment is going well  :) Happy to share my experiences here in Dubai in more detail (I am coming up to 5 years living out here - time has flown by!), also would love to hear from anyone currently goign through the same treatment out here in Dubai.

Have a sunny w/e

Hi Betsy,

I think the no. is 6-577-8222 and fax 6-577-8223. Dr Pankaj Shrivastav heads the team there.  He used to work at Dubai GFC under the instruction of Prof Craft of London Fertility Centre untilm2004, when he set up Conceive and previously did his training in the UK.  I was originally going to go there but he was having problems with the Ministry giving him the authority to do PGD, so have had to wait until he gets clearance.  If you do a search for a lady by the name of Dubai1, she went there, with very little hope as the UK wouldn't treat her but she became pregnant with twins.

hope this helps,
carriew

Hi Carrew,

Thank you so much for the information on the doctor of the Conceive Clinic and their contacts. Plus many thanks for referring to Anna (Dubai1). Her posts are helpful.

Can you imagine Dr Pankaj Shrivastav is THE doctor we were looking for in Dubai GFC last year but he was no longer there? Now we FOUND him.

Going to contact him today!!!

Thank you so much. You really did help!

Hi there,

Yes I have heard about it from many ppl. I plan to go there myself. I live in sharjah and its close to my apptt. The doctor is indian named Dr Pankaj Srivastava, hes infact from my home town. I do beleieve he is good, the clinic looks swanky at least from the outside. Ive never been in however. The other day somebody was teling me that hes in to ivf ..mostly . not sure abt this info though. You can call he clinic on 06-5771822.
Hope this helps.

Hi Harshika,

Thank you for the contact number. When are you planning to go there? Could you please write me about the clinic after you visit it? Could you find out whether the clinic has a website?

My husband saw Dr Pankaj previously and he liked him. We are now in the USA and the only possibility we have right now is to call the clinic.

Good luck to you!

Hi Betsy

How did you get on with Dr Prankaj? I was referred to him originally last year but then read a news paper article saying that he was being closed down as operating 'illegally'. I then got lots of good recommendations for Dr Moh'd at the Dubai GFC (where Dr Prankaj used to practice) and decided to go there instead as also much less hassle for me as live the other side of Dubai so for daily injections Sharjah just seemed too much hassle (I should stop being a whimp and learn to do them myself!).

I did hear though that Dr Prankaj was one of the Dr's who had something to do with developing ICSI's so know he is meant to be excellent. There was a website www.conceiveuae.com but doesn't seem to work anymore.

Good luck to you !

LL

P.S. Sharry, yes Sunday went well....am now on my  ^2ww^......agghhhh!!
