My  one year old woke up with a rash of big red spots all over her nappy area.  It looked bad but I put it down to heat rash.  She was very lightly dressed today as it was a hot day but this rash seems to have spread to her legs and tummy.  I done the glass test just to eliminate but I'm sure its not as sinister as that.  But does heat rash spread to other parts of the body.  Her friend also woke up with a small patch too.
If its heat rash how should I treat it?  Sudocrem?

I did take Leyla to the GP and he thought it was a post virus rash!  It had spread all over her legs and arms too. Didn't even know she had a virus.  When she started nursery 5 weeks ago she began having a constant runny nose up until about a week ago.Every one said this was normal - I wonder now in fact if that may have been a virus.
