Hello there,

Just wanted to pick your brains please! I am 13 weeks and 3 days pregnant and had my dating/nuchal scan last week which all looked fine. Over the past few days I have been getting lots of hip, pelvic and lower back 'discomfort' on and off. I sometimes get shooting pains across my buttocks and down the legs and thought this was probably sciatica. At the moment I have a warm and tingly lower back acke. Is this normal and just due to my expanding uterus or is it a little early? Am sleeping well at night and not disturbed by it.

It could be that your uterus is just pressing on a nerve at the position it's in at the moment. If it's not gone by later this week, see your gp,
