I have been taking the drug minocyclin and erythomycin for the treatment of acne for around 15 years. Last year I was diagnosed with a low sperm count and poor motility. The first consultant we saw was not concerned about the long term use of the anti-biotics but I have since found some information on the internet suggesting a link with these anti-biotics and male infertility.
I was wondering if there is anyone out there in a similar position?

Hi Pk,

I am sorry to hear about the low sperm count and the long term antibiotics/acne. My DH was found to be azoospermic after testicular cancer treatment but before the cancer he has longterm tx for acne. If you find that internet link again could you please post it here and I will take a look at it.

I have found quite a few websites. If you put 'male infertility and anti-biotics' through a google search you will find a few sites.
