Yes Mel FC - Jessica is really crabby with the heat and I think the teething too is making for a rather disgruntled little girl. Having said that, she still smiles heaps but just not as much. I've put a fan in her room but it's all I can hear on the baby monitor. The balckout blinds profess to keep the room coll but that isn't the case.
well thankypou for all your wellwishes and thoughts today,it must off donesomething with him upstairs as Hannahs going to be ok
She does not have Hirpsprungs allthough her 1st results came back as positive to a small amount but they looked at the results again and looked at how she is now and have decided she does not have it.
She has a problem called anal sponosis( spelt it all wrong but it sounds like it) it were her anal passage is tiny and keeps tightening up.
So poor little thing cant go like you normaly do then all of a sudden she relaxes then it just explodes everywhere.
I have been using a metal rod everyday to open up the passage way and so far this works I will still have to do this but every other day from know on and she has to take lactlose daily also.
The doctor is hoping she will grow out of this problem.
The last few weeks have been the worst of my entire life as i was so afraid hannah would have to go through operation after operation but as it stand she wont have to.
We can know enjoy the summer and take are little girl out&about and next month i will take her weaning a step further,i am still doing breastfeeding with only a little baby rice and carrot a day of wich Hannah loves I shall try her with 2 meals from tomorrow then at 6 months I will give her 3 meals and then see how she can cope.
We have to take Hannah back to see the specialist in 3 months to see if weaning has been a success or if its causing problems.
Its been so hot today we left the hospital and took hannah for a walk along the beach to cool of and it was hot there as well.
Normally she goes to sleep at 7 but tonight she was wide awake and grumpy at 8,I have a fan on her but they hate it,she has been in a awful mood allday its unlike her so this heat is to blame.
Thanks again everyone no doubt I will thank you personaly in stratford and hannah will charm you with her cheeky smile.
Wow Hannah is 5 months old know but for the last 4 months its been a nightmare of worry,I can at last rest tonight knowing Hannah will be ok
I am so pleased to read that everything is okay with Hannah, we're sending some really big hugs and hope you do enjoy your summer.
As for being grumpy? Amy was particulary so this am and her temp was high so took her to the Dr and she has a viral infection I suffered terribly with these through my pg so know exactly how she's feeling. At the mo she is in bed with her fan on and for the time being asleep. She is really not herself and very unsettled - even sobbed this morning when I went to get her from her morning nap (normally she's all smiles) and I thought maybe it's just me and she wants Jamie She's hardly smiled all day and had no milk. 5oz all day and a bit of water. If she has no milk at her dream feed I will call NHS direct I think. With it being so hot I am worried that she is dehydrated. She has however managed a bit of solids today.
At least in this weather I can strip her down.
Hope evryone else is okay - off to bed in case it's a bad night and I want to be there for her not shattered!
well I whatched corrie last night and I errupted big time,
It was good really as I sobbed for a few hours and cuddled Hannah and basically cleaned my mind out.
Hopefully now I might be able to come of the lustral for PND that doctors gave me a few weeks back to help me cope.
I am sure there was not many of a dry eye last night who whatched corrie.
Lisa - great news about Hannah's condition being diagnosed and not serious. Really pleased for you all. Good old pent up emotion release over corrie xx
Jac - Your hv sounds a bit like mine. Laura had no check ups from 9 months till 4 1/2 when I really pushed. He's such a lovely wee boy - I'm sure he's fine, but you can't help worry can you. I worry all the time - Laura has had tummy ache for days now, and I have this background anxiety gnawing away at me. Hope his breathing gets sorted out soon. Is it an infection or is it an allergy?
Amanda - how was BB?
oohhh - school have just rung to say Laura really not well - can I go and get her
I have to admit I did think of you last night watching Corrie, god it really hit home for me just how lucky we are, I cant ever imagine and dont want to really, but just what it must be like to bury your child...god I'm off again now, it was really sad I know its only a soap but they get their stories from real life and you only have to look about this site for people who have been in that situation. Gave Millie a huge kiss in her sleep after that, just had to go & see her
Hello Fee BB is great but juicy, lot of snogging etc etc, but am so tired at the moment that I cant stay up and watch the 10pm show every night so I watch it on channel4 in the morning about 8am. Hope Laura is alright
Sat in the shade at the pub for about 3hrs yesterday afternoon and boy did I get burnt...through an umbrella !! Millie was ok, well covered up in her buggy with her parasol etc .....but it just goes to show you how strong the sun is ! Consequently this morn I have the runs must have burnt my head a bit too cos thats when I get the runs
Filled up the paddling pool for a fun thime this afternoon about 2'ish when its more shady. Really feeling for the pregnant ladies at the moment in this heat. Jac...do you remember last year....phew !!
Lisa - so glad to hear that there is nothing seriously wrong with Hannah - now you can relax and really enjoy the summer!
As for the heat - I remember last year with Hannah she seemed to want to feed more when it was so hot and wouldn't drink water from a bottle so I ended up spending a lot of the day breastfeeding. Now she seems to have boundless energy and is racing round the garden!!
For those of you whose babies are teething have you tried teething powders? Either Ashton & Parsons or Boots do their own version. They are homeopathic and seem to help Hannah. I can remember a number of people (mainly older ones) telling us from about 4 months that Hannah was teething because she was chewing everything in sight and dribbling. However she didn't produce a tooth until 7 months. Every child is different as to how they react and it isn't until you've had a few teeth come through that you are more able to tell the signs I think. Hannah now has 10 teeth and 2 more molars are on their way so she is a bit crabby and clingy at the moment - and always has a runny nose when teething!
Deborah - hope your doggy is better soon
Jac - hope Jaqsons cold is better soon. I think boys are lazier than girls - a number of the boys Hannah's age aren't walking yet - make the most of it while he stays in one place!!
Anyway best go as supposed to be getting on with things while Hannah is asleep - worn out by TumbleTots!!
I really do wish I could be online more often. I just never seem to get the time these days, between being back at work part time and spending the rest of the time with Anthony I just never seen to fit everything in!!!!
Lisa- Glad to hear Hannah is doing ok, you must be so relieved.
Deborah - Sorry your doggie isnt very well, I do hope he gets better soon and isnt to traumatised by it all.
Well Anthony is doing well, he is now 25 weeks and I cant believe where time has gone. He is trying to sit up now.
I had to rush him last week to A&E. I had put him in his bouncy chair and strapped him in, I only turned away for a second and the next minute he was on the floor crying. I still dont know how he did it. Everything was ok, but I felt awful. What a fright I got.
Anyway, hope everyone is well, and speak to you soon.
The heat whilst pg last year was AWFUL, and I was only second tri during the worst of it! I remember just sitting either in the paddling pool or in front of a fan and barely being able to do anything unless I was in work where we have air conditioning. Really feel for the pg girls this year - although it's not quite as hot yet
Jac - I bawled at Corrie last night, and must admit I thought of you too along with a couple of others I know who have burried their newborns. God, I can barely imagine the pain - just the thought of it .........
Amanda - It's amazing how easy it is to burn when the UV levels are high. Hope you're not too sore, and that the runs don't last.
Sarah - Hope Amy is okay?
Deborah - Glad your little fur baby is okay
Lisa - Hello. Lovely to hear from you Glad Anthony's okay after his little accident. They all have them you know, and we all feel like the worst mums in the world and are riddled with guilt when it happens, but we're not
Celia - Hello to you and Hannah.
Gill - Sorry you lost your post It's nice to hear from you anyhow
Fee - Welcome back from your hols. Hope Laura's okay.
Sophie/FC - Thanks for your kind words over the breast feeding. I do feel I did well with both, it's just that with Jack, although I was sad about stopping I didn't regret the decision. With Ben, although I felt it right at the time, I now know it was the PND forcing my hand and I don't so much feel guilty (I did feed him for 3 months), but I have terrible regrets over finishing it completely. Wish I'd just cut it right back to 1 or 2 feeds a day instead of stopping totally, but that's not what I wanted to do at the time because of how I was feeling. I just wanted to be done with it because it was too much hassle and I was dealing with other issues, and it became an added complication I couldn't cope with at the time. Wasn't thinking straight
Anyhow! It's done now, so no point in crying over spilt milk ........... Can't spend my life looking backwards can I
Amy has been much better today. Still continuing with the Nurofen and calpol but she seems to getting better. Has played in the garden, we went for a walk and has had all her meals and milk so a big improvement. The HV has told me to continue with the medicine at least till tommorrow.
Right off to do tea, got some fab piccies so will try and upload them later and reply to everyone
Love sarah x x x x
Lisa - fantastic news about Hannah. What a huge relief for you all. Hope the weaning goes OK and still hoping to meet up sometime soon.
Deborah - hope your fur baby is fully recovered...
Hope you are all coping with the heat
Went to Homebase at 9am and bought another fan (already had one) and a portable water cooling unit, which was reduced. It doesn;t really seemt to work very well, so a bit disappointed, but it does also just work as a fan.
Toby is asleep on our bed cos it's slightly cooler than his room, with two fans blasting out. He does seem to have been OK in the heat, touchwood. I hate it tho'!
He was supposed to have his 2nd jabs today but no way was I going to combine injections with 30 degree temperatures! Have postponed til next week!
Have been drinking loads to make sure milk supply keeps up, must have drunk about 7 pints of water alone, mind you that's proabably just what you should drink in a normal day anyway, lol.
Just caught a glimpse of Michelle's face on BBLB when she hear's she's been nominated but didn't catch whoelse. I video BB each night as I am usually just getting ready to feed T and then watch it the next day at some point. I don;t have E4 anymore tho' prob just as well otherwise Toby would be watching it all day too, he loves staring at the TV, a bad habit I'm gonna have to watch!!!
Right well better go & check the muncher isn;t too hot...gawd how is he sleeping in this, I don;t know....
