Hi

Have just had an appointment with my dr about my FET in March. Last time I did a medicated FET cycle. We got a bfp but unfortunately mc'ed a couple of days later.

This time he has recommended a natural FET because I have a pretty regular cycle. Do you know if success rates are higher with natural or medicated/is there an advantage to one or the other.

Thanks

Debbie

Hi Debbie

I prefer the natural FET......i had a bfp last March but unfortunately like yourself m/c at 11 weeks......the natural one is so much quicker than the medicated one...and with no drugs so no mood swings!!!

Good luck hun  :)

Ruth,

I would like to ask a related question.

I am 41, with a regular cycle and no known problems other than current age. I have 4 embryos left in storage from a previous successful first attempt at IVF in 2003 (when I was 39) at The Lister.  I have had 2 children naturally from previous relationship.

I am considering a FET later this year to try for a sibling and I am interested whether for someone in my situation which FET is more relevant to try ?

If it is by IVF I suspect I will have only one attempt possible due to the % thaw out success rate ... embryo survival rates etc. etc.

Thanks,
SarahE
