Hi out there
I am new to this and not sure what I am doing with regard to the web site and abbreviations etc. here go's!!
I have just turned 39, have a beautiful 3 year old son. I eventually  conceived him with clomid after 3 years and one mc.  Have been trying to conceive again for 1 year and in that time fell pregnant naturally, but had another mc at 6 weeks.  I am now living in the States and have been seeing a Specialist here who told me that I have had enough
clomid and should try injectable drugs and IUI.  We have just completed the 3rd month of this and are in the 2ww.  My major concern about all this is that in the 3 cycles I have only ever produced 1 follicle.  The doctors tell me that my ovaries are resistant.  I realize that this is probably due to my age and could mean that it wont be worth pursuing any further treatment.  Anyone else out there had any similar experience??

Hi jdee,

I'm 41 and had been ttc for over 3 years. (I have a 9 year old... he was 9 yesterday!! conceived naturally) I have just finished a course of IVF and am now 5 weeks pregnant. I still can't believe how lucky we've been.

I managed to have 13 follicles and they got 12 eggs from these. Have you considered IVF? I went to CARE as they have very good success rates. Lets hope your IUI is successful. Lot's of good luck  ^fairydust^

Thinking of you
Take care
