This feels a little strange as I have never used any kind of forum site, actually registered months ago but only now decided to give it a go :-\

My husband and I have been trying, sorry TTC (!) for 3 years.  We have had 1 MC ( 2008) and 2 ectopic pregnancies (2010).  I lost my left tube with the 1st ectopic and was apparently lucky to still have my uterus.  Even though this was a very painful time as it ruptured whilst at work eating marmite rice cakes, it could have been a lot worse due to the location of the rupture.  Never did finish my rice cakes though  ;D .  With the 2nd they were able to keep my right tube, however now that I am about to start IVF I wish that it had been removed to reduce that chance of it happening again!

The tests I have had since have shown nothing to suggest why this happended.  We had mixed emotions about this, on the one hand it was good that there was nothing horrible going on but on the other hand it would have made it easier to understand why it had happened.

We are about a week away from starting our 1st attempt of IVF using my natural cycle.  All the drugs arrived yesterday, which did make us laugh, OMG!

Thanks to my Mum, who read an article on NKK we requested the blood test at our initial appointment, which our clinic were more than happy do.  This was at our own cost but so glad we did it as I do have a higher than normal count.  I  now have another set of drugs/steroids to help with this.

I am quite a positive person and thankfully have a brilliant husband whose strength especially during my time in hospital was amazing.  He really has and is making this whole process so much easier to cope with.  My concern at the moment is the side effects of the drugs, I can cope with pain quite well but after reading so much about this whole process being a roller coaster ride I am praying that I can deal with the emotional side of it.

Well considering I am new to this I certainly have gone on! ;D

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and hubby and I wish you all lots of luck in your own journeys. xxx
