Hi

I'm the new kid around here and hoping someone can help.

I've got PCOS and APS and Lupus (amongst other things) and have had 6 mcs (weeks 6 to 13), the last one was Monday and this time due to failure of implantation. Had a scan to confirm all fine internally and dr given go ahead to try again.

BUT I already had a perscription for Clomid from him as PCOS seemed to be causing usual lack of ovulation but last month this was clearly not the case. Yesterday he said we could go ahead and use the Clomid if we wanted to, though seems a little unnecessary to us if I'm ovulating (though not clear I do so consistently). Our question is whether the Clomid could help with implantation or not.

I'm 36 and with the APS things are complicated due to the high risk of later mc etc so we are desperate for rapid pregnancies (though staying within the boundaries of sensible).

Any advice anyone can give would be appreciated as our next stop is IVF with late implantation if natural methods don't work and I would prefer to avoid that if possible.

Thanks
Louise

Hello,
Welcome to ff, Sorry to hear your very sad news.
Im afraid i have no answers personally but wanted to just say welcome.
I dont know if youve had a chance to look all over this site but you will find people in similar situations to yourself all with support and advice.
Hopefully someone will have some for you on this but if not try asking the nurse, look on the main category for the thread.
Good luck Louise.

Hi Louise,

Welcome to FF!

So sorry to hear about your m/c's.

In answer to your ?, I do not believe Clomid helps with implantation as it for ovulation.  Maybe you could check with your GP.

Wishing you luck.

Thank you for your welcome and advice - will jump off to ask the nurse now! Unfortunately asking GP not an option as while technically have one never see him as here in Spain the specialists for the Lupus and APS have an open door policy so I can just go straight to them... Partly why I feel so 'lost' when we get to these sorts of issues/questions.

All the best
Louise
