Does anyone know the answer to this:

If you are entitled to 2 fresh cycles of Ivf (and 2 frozen on each fresh cycle if you are lucky to get frosties) and you get pregnant from your 1st fresh cycle. Do you then lose your entitlement to the next fresh cycle as you have a baby already?

It seems pretty unfair if you do. As your not getting what you were promised (2 fresh + up to 4 FET)the clinic treating you has already applied for funding for all of the above before you start treatment and it's not like you can just have a baby naturally after Ivf (which a lot of people seem to think)

A few of us have been having this conversation on ** and we all have different answers to the question. Is there anyway of finding out for sure?

Firstly, if you live in an area where you get 2 fresh cycles you are pretty lucky. Most areas only funded one cycle and some areas none at all. But yes if you were lucky enough to fall pregnant in your first cycle you would not get another funded cycle as the NHS will not fund treatment for anyone who already has children.
