I'm 8 1/2 weeks pregnant and am due to do my first lot of nightshifts on Tue and Wed this week.  I am concerned as I have just read an article which says my company should have done a risk assessment, and working nights could cause problems.  For the next 6 Months I am due to do two nights every ten days.  Any advice would be great

Hi

you will have to see how you feel on nights. Some ladies cope better with them than days. I worked a lot of nights throughout my pregnancy, they are never easy but sometimes the work is easier to do at night without the day time stresses.

That is a big help thanks, I don't mind working nights, I was just concerned that it could cause me problems with the pregnancy.  So I will see how I go.  So thanks again
