Hi Jeanette and Ruth

I'm 23 days into d/r and start stims tomorrow (24th).  I've had a bad throat and swollen glands for on and off two weeks now.  I saw my GP last Wednesday who said it was a viral infection.  She asked if I wanted antibiotics but because of treatment I said no which she understood.  She gave me a sicknote so I'm currently off work.  Yesterday was the worst day yet.  I'm taking paracetamols, drinking lots of water, gargling antiseptic mouthwash and getting lots of rest.  Can you advise anything else that I can take that won't affect the stimulation drugs and treatment please?  I want to get rid of this as quickly as possible and especially before egg collection and embryo transfer.

Thanks
Billie

It seriously sounds like you are doing all you can. Just keep at it and give it a few days. If it is viral, then anti b´s won´t help anyway. It may help once you get some hormones into your system via the injects as the throat etc may be your bodies way of saying it doesn´t like the downregulation! :(
