Hello  :)

My pelvic floor muscles are considerably weaker after having my DD. This time I want to make sure I do the exercises for fear of doing any more damage!!!

The thing is I don't think I'm doing it right!

Is it dangerous for me to try and do it by stopping the flow of urine when I go to the loo? Is it right that can cause infection?!?! I do think I find it easier on the loo. Otherwise I just end up holding my breath, cross eyed and probably pulling in my tummy rather than down there.

I feel so stupid asking about this, but I am just not getting it  ;D

Hi,

You can try and stop yourself when you are on the loo, but, as you said, it can lead to infection if you are doing it lots, so only do it once a day.  Just try and focus on pulling everything inside up, try and visualise your cervix moving up, and it may help you to stop using other muscles.
