Hi

Has anyone used either of the baby dan playpens for their twins? Either the metal hexaganol one or the wooden square one? There are good eBay offers on both for local collection so I"m considering them. The square one appeals more.

I have a small house and making an area safe for my two is going to be impossible so I want to get a playpen, but I'd like something large enough that they can have some fun in there. I think my little boy is very close to crawling, and they can both cover some distance by rolling and 'caterpillaring' IYKWIM.

If anyone else has used a different playpen for their twins I'm open to suggestions.

We used the baby Dan blue hexagonal one but they were only happy in it for very short periods of time (dashing for a wee etc) and that was only for a few weeks before it was all too much hassle to get them in there and keep them content. We had very little space too but in the end we wedged the playpen opened out across the room and baby proofed the other end of the room. If I am honest I would expect you would need to bite the bullet and do this anyway by the time they can walk/stand as they won't be ok in the playpen then, so you might as well baby proof now. Or baby proofing has had many stages. At each age and stage different things are a risk.

Elpida, I bought two babydan white playpens and joined them together to make one big safe play area.  I was only able to use one playpen when they were very little as it wasn't really a big enough play space for two.  My twins played very happily in their double playpen and it gave me a bit of breathing space knowing that I could pop in and out the room and know they were playing safely.
Plus it kept the twins and their toys playing safely separate from the pets.
For me it was one of my best baby purchases.
