Hi,

I'm new to the site and I'm hoping someone will be able to help me please.

I'm six weeks and 2 days pregnant after my first attempt at IVF and I had my first scan yesterday but it was inconclusive the doctor said that the sack was too small for its dates and she couldn't see a baby I had some blood tests taken and these have come back fine (as they should be for my dates) and I have to go back for more on Monday.

I'm going out of my mind with worry I still feel pregnant and the hopsital have said that it could be a miscarriage or that I could still be pregnant.

Has anyone else been in the same situation?

6 Weeks is often too early to see anything and more often than not just drives us out of our minds.

I think 7-8 weeks is a more appropriate time to scan.

Keeping my fingers X for you & Sending hugs,

Mel

Hi i know what a worrying time you are having, my six week scan was the same the sac was there but that was all no heartbeat. One and a half weeks later everything was fine and we saw one heartbeat flashing away. I agree 6 weeks is sometimes to early to see everything and i hope you have better news on Monday.
