I have been taking a small daily amount of methylprednisolone (Medrol) to tamp down my strong immune system. Research of medical journals turned up studies that suggest that 10 mg is good.

My doc prescribed the pills, but without a date/duration on the prescription, so I had a lot of leeway on choosing what I wanted to do... The pills I get in France are 16 mg, so I split 'em & took 8. My plan was to increase the dosage around the time of my FET, & continue at the higher dose until the first beta. Then I'd go back down to the general 8-10 mg dose until later into a pregnancy if I am so lucky as to get that far.

How long does it stay in your body? When does it peak? Is it better to take twice per day, or all at once in the AM? Should I increase the dose the day of the transfer, or before then? How high should I go? The usual dosage for an allergic reaction in somebody of my size is 16 mg, 2-3 times/day for 3 days, but don't know how this works for a FET...

in the uk/us we normally take prednisolone or prednisone rather than medrol. some docs Px only 10mg but the immune specialist docs tend to Px 25mg per day starting at least 7 days before ET - if you are diagnosed with high NK activity.  Its normally only taken once a day with breakfast and continued until 12 weeks of pg, then its tapered down slowly.  steroids are normally given together with clexane/lovenox/fragmin.

vitamin E is not usually recommended when TTC - because some studies have linked it to increased risk of heart problems for baby.

Thanks for the heads-up about vit E, I'd forgotten that.

I was prescribed Trental to keep the blood flowing (I have endo, adeno, fibroids, cysts, etc). But I am allergic to an excipient, so have been given Esberiven Fort (coumarin), usually used to treat leg problems. Trental & Esberiven are always given with vitamin E, & the studies showing they help were done with E. I am taking 500 IU per day, & I think the damage in pregnancy is linked to much higher levels, at least 700 mcg/day, & I doubt I'm getting that much extra thru diet. But it's something to think about, sigh...
