I have been taking a small daily amount of methylprednisolone (Medrol) to tamp down my strong immune system. Research of medical journals turned up studies that suggest that 10 mg is good.
My doc prescribed the pills, but without a date/duration on the prescription, so I had a lot of leeway on choosing what I wanted to do... The pills I get in France are 16 mg, so I split 'em & took 8. My plan was to increase the dosage around the time of my FET, & continue at the higher dose until the first beta. Then I'd go back down to the general 8-10 mg dose until later into a pregnancy if I am so lucky as to get that far.
How long does it stay in your body? When does it peak? Is it better to take twice per day, or all at once in the AM? Should I increase the dose the day of the transfer, or before then? How high should I go? The usual dosage for an allergic reaction in somebody of my size is 16 mg, 2-3 times/day for 3 days, but don't know how this works for a FET...
