I have been put off work with BP of 135 over 103. I am only 21 weeks pg and so the doc says it is too early for pre-eclampsia. What can I do to get my BP down, and do you have any other tips/general info ?

Thanks

Carole

The best way to keep high blood pressure down is rest during pregnancy, make sure you also drink plenty of fluids Carole, its not excessively high but they will keep an eye on you.

Thats ok hun - if they do think it is getting too high they may put you on some very mild BP tablets that are safe in pregnancy so dont worry if they do - lots of people are on them (i was one of them  ;D )

Take care and have a nice rest, feet up and be pampered - nursey orders  ;D

Hi Carole

Just thought I would butt in -  I had high BP from 17 weeks onwards (at one time it was 202/123), I took tablets from then on and all was fine.

Take care.
