hi, my periods have always been pretty regular but last month it came after only 16 days - a proper af.
do you know of any possible reasons for this?  it has worried me that my cycles are shortening due to imminent menopause. 
we're not currently having any treatment, just regular acupuncture.  i'm now on day 28.
any info would be appreciated please.

Our bodies have a habit of doing the unexpected!! Shortened cycles are only one of a number of things that need to happen if you are becoming menopausal. If this is a real fear then ask to have your hormones checked on day 2 of the next couple of cycles and the FSH level will give you a clearer idea of what is going on.
