I decided to give up smoking for 2005. Since Jan 1st, I have had 2 ciggies, the last one being on 10th Jan when I went to the hospital and was told I need to lose 5 stone, and at least 1 stone by July!
My little tip is to have an orange or a piece of fruit whenever you have a strong craving for a ciggy. At one point I was on 7 oranges a day! One thing that's good about it is that I haven't had the bad flu/cold that's been going around!
Good luck to anyone trying to give up. It is hell for the 1st 2 weeks and then it gets a lot easier.
