Hello all,

This is a general question rather than 1 for Ruth, hope it's ok to post here.

Can anyone recommend an acupuncturist that specialises in fertility please?  I've just had a bfn, and want to have acupuncture before attempting for a 2nd time, but don't know where to start looking 

I live in Essex and would be happy to travel to London, Herts, Cambridge, Norwich or Suffolk for the right treatment.

Hi Heather,

I too have had 1 x failed IVF and started seeing an acupuncturist in Harley Street, called Gerad Kite. I cannot praise him enough he is also a trained psychotherapist and has the most calming influence of anyone I have ever met!!
After 3 sessions of acupuncture with him I had my first ever painfree period in my life, my energy levels are also much better and my mid cycle pain has also been reduced loads. I feel so much calmer and I am hoping to start my next IVF cycle next month.

I highly recommend Lyndsey Taylor at Osteopathic House, Rickmansworth, Herts. 01923 896655. I first met Lyndsey at the Zita West clinic (Fertility specialisits) in Harley street where she works part time. Since our first meeting she now also runs a clinic in Herts which is much closer to my home. She saw me on a regular basis prior to and throughout our second IVF treatment after a first failed cycle without accupuncture. I am delighted to say that she has continued to see me throughout my pregnancy, only seven weeks to go! Lyndsey has a very calming influence and has been able to treat me for various different ailments along the way.

Hi Heather

A lot of us 'London Girls' see Daniel Elliott at the London Acupuncture Clinic http://www.londonacupuncture.co.uk/practitioners.asp He has links with the ARGC which have the best IVF succes rates. He has clinics in Harley St, Ealing, Windsor & Chiswick.

I have seen him through this cycle and he has sorted out my AF completely and asked questions about my cylce that no Doctor ever bothered to ask. He even arranged his diary round my tx to come into London on a Saturday to see me after ET!

Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers that he has done his magic for me - good llck with whatever you do.

Hi everyone,

Just to let you all know that I have just had a BFP naturally after 5 acupuncture treatments with Gerad Kite.
I am still totally shocked as I never ever thought I would conceive naturally and only went to see Gerad to support my next IVF cycle.

Even my DH who was totally sceptical about anything alternative is now converted!!!! For anyone thinking about giving acupuncture a go, I would definitely recommend it.
