Hope you can help me, I had to lose weight to start ICSI at  my clinic.  Our problem is male related with me having no known problems.  I have lost 3 and half stone during the past year and this has been a struggle.  I am now 35 (BMI) and borderline for treatment.

However, during the past 6 months I have been under my GP for orlistat initially then reductil (sibutramine) in order to get the last bit of weight of.  The strange thing when people look at me then I tell them my weight they are shocked, as I weigh heavier than I look (if that makes sense).  I am active but think I have a very slow metabolic rate, my close relations seem to have the same problem 9must be genetic).

Anyway I am due to start ICSI in Feb 05 and was wondering if I should stop taking reductil now or keep with it right up to the treatment beginning.  My GP has asked me to consult with the clinic in Jan. as she is not a fertility specialist.  What would you suggest??

My gut instinct is to stay with it till you start but I would strongly suggest you check with your clinic as it may take time to come out of your system and I wouldn´t want it to affect your treatment in any way.
