no i havent but have been thinking about it. There are a few discussions about this on the "complimentary therapy" and "prenatal care" forums. The only thing I was told was that as clomid is supposed to boost the ovary, reflexology could relax it, ie work the opposite way. I would have thought that as long as your reflexologist knows your history you would be ok. Let us know how you do. If I get another BFN this month I might consider booking a session. x

I had reflexology before I started clomid last time and carried on during my treatment. I told the therapist i was taking it and what it was for and she worked more on my reproduction areas. I found that it was a lovely thing to have done. It relaxes you and i did get my daughter out of it so there might be something in it. It is worth a try.
But at the same time there was an article in the paper about duffy from casualty. And she had been trying for years and after reflexology she got a bfp. And she swears by it. So there are some success stories out there. Just make sure you go to a registered therapist, so you know your getting the good stuff.
Give it a go. It is worth it just to have your feet rubbed lol

Hi I had reflexology on Saturday and am going again on Thursday 18th which would be around the time of ovulation. The girl I go to is also an aromatherapist and I've been going to her for years for my back .She says that she has a lot of ladies on trying to conceive and there does seem to be a good success rate. She seems to think that the main benefit is that it helps you relax an de-stress and then nature/hard drugs can do the rest. If it works this month I'll be swearing by it too of course!

I had reflexology and the only thing that I really reccomend as a couple of practitioners have told me this, is that you don't have treatment during the 2ww as it could upset your system.
I love reflexology as its soooo relaxing. Unfortunately I'm now on the hunt for a new therapist as the last one stopped.

Thanks I have told her about my clomid & she said that she has worked on a number of woman on the drug & most have success stories. Anything is worth a try!
Got my first session tomorrow & one next week, my last day of clomid was Thursday last week so hopefully it will work around the time of ovulation.
Will let you know how it goes.

Went for my first session last night & I would recommend it to any one. When she was working on my ovaries I could feel like grit in my foot where she was rubbing. When I asked her she said that it was the conjestion that was in my ovaries. Apparently my ovaries were really conjested & puffy but by the end of the session they were practically clear. She thinks that the build up in my ovaries was from when I was on the pill & she is hoping that now clear I will ovulate this month. Got another session for next week as suggested then hopefully my ovaries will be back to normal. Fingers crossed!

I've had reflexology...it's wonderful. Flowerpot, I'm like you love having my feet rubbed anyway. I see an Holistic Therapist every four weeks and she works on my enegery channels. Last week I had an hours destress massage. She said I was very blocked up (it was after that nasty lady made me cry when I was booking DH's party!) from head to toe but she managed to unblock me. It's quite painful sometimes, when she finds a particularly blocked area, but in a good way! Fingers crossed it helps though. Just reflexology next time, can't wait!

It costs £19.00 for 1 hour which I think is pretty good value for money, I have been told that at the start to have 2 close together & then every 3 - 4 weeks after. I'm really hoping that it makes me ovulate this month but she said that it might not work that quick & could be next month.

I had reflexology about 3 weeks agao - I told her about the clomid - and she said that she would avoid the achilles heal and ankle area as this would put the hormone balance back into my body (whereas Clomid is stimulating this therefore it would have a cancelling out effect
) I really enjoyed it hough and she picked up on my hayfever, bad back, tension in the shoulder and said I should have my thyroid checked (have blood test booked for this 2mo morning)
she also told me that - if I wasnt on any drugs she could have treated me and that some reflexologists specialise in stimulating the female reproducutive areas for women with problems - with good results apparently!!! (but not with drugs)
thats my experience anyway - I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it - very relaxing - cost me £25 for an hour

I was in for an hour 45 mins first session , £24.00 and she specialises in fertility reflexology, she was very good looked at lifestyle..since Ive been snappy a bit and a bit emotional whcih is good as it detoxifies your emotional state as well as body , ive also had a bit short term memory loss ..
Its is also about state of yoru mind and emotions and listening to your body !!
