I have been prescribed Co Codamol for my spd / hip pain but I don't really like taking it every day as not too sure on the effects it has on bubs.

Is it safe to take co-codamol regularly in pregnancy?

Also I've been give crutches by the physio but they make my tummy ache.

Do you think its worth asking about being induced or should I just ride it out for the last few weeks?  I'm really struggling with it today.

Hi,

Co-codamol is ok to take when you need it, so don't worry, just try to avoid having every few hours.  I would very much doubt that they will induce you until at least 36 weeks, but you could go and discuss it with your consultant and see what they say,

Thanks for your reply.

I am trying to get by at the moment taking two tablets twice a day.  Could really do with more but am trying to just put up with the pain, knowing that eventually it will be gone  :)

I really wanted to do everything "naturally" this pregnancy - DD was induced at term + 14, and DS was induced at term as they suspected a PE.

Hoping that I may feel a bit better next week as I finish work tomorrow.
