I haven't been on here for ages but I just checked in.
Congratulations Mrs PG. I remember you from one of the information evenings. Good luck. Our little St Marys IVF baby is almost 6 months old now. Dreams really do come true and I can never thank St Marys enough for that.
Well after my phone call from the doctor on Friday to say they think I should have a hystoeroscopy to rule out anything that is causing my lining not to grow, I received a phone call today from one of the nurses to say I could do a natural cycle that I wanted to do, and to just call up with next af. I explained about the phone call I had received from the doctor, but explained that I would still like the opportunity to try a natural cycle with my own hormones rather than the artificial ones.
And as it happens my af was today! So she took my details as a request and said she would get back to me I expalined that I'm away from Tuesday morning and back Saturday so hoping she will get back to me tommorrow to let me knownif everything can go ahead. Which means in for daily bloods from next Sunday until LH surge is detected.
So now I have gone from expecting to have treatment again in around 3 months time to possibly haveing embryo transfer in the next 2 weeks!
So now I'm hoping that she doesn't call back to say no it can't go ahead after getting my hopes up again. If no decision is made tommorrow she said she will leave me a voice mail whilst I'm away. Really hoping this roller coaster is on the up again!
How are things going for you with your cycle lilly83?
Finally got my call back after second request (a whole week after I rang) and I'm booked in for my teach on 5th March! Little bit nervous but a lot excited!!
From reading the other posts I understand that I should receive a call about my delivery of meds? only reason I ask is they just said they'd send the meds out to me. Do I need to be in for delivery? Am I best to call back and ask how it happens? Sorry for all the questions.
Im at the same stage as you, my teach is on the 4th March ( after waiting a week for them to call me back)
Im still waiting for my medication call back, so I am going to call later today to find out abit more, I will let you know, if I get any answers on when they call you for the delivery.
It is all exciting... im on a short protocol, so hopefully this means i'll be starting Mid march, but I suppose I wont know until next week.
I just got through to st Marys and they have advised that the medication company normally call you a approx a week before the teach, so it should be any day. They will then make an arrangement to deliver.
Congratulations MrsPG!! Lovely news, maybe two babies in there if you have a positive test so soon??
Jbs & IkeaMonkey - great news that you both have your teach sessions booked in! With regard to the medication delivery, the medication company will call to arrange delivery, yes you do need to be in to receive the medication, they give a morning or afternoon delivery slot (I booked a morning off work). You also need to be in as some of the medication needs to be stored in the fridge as soon as it is received, please be ready to lose half of a shelf in the fridge!!
Just to let you know where I am up to, I will be 10 weeks on Friday, I have an apt at the local hospital on Thursday and next Tuesday I am over at St Mary's to have some tests & see the consultant that specialises in heart conditions and pregnancy, to have a scan and also see a midwife (it's an all day of a job but totally worth it!!)
I do keep up to date with everyone's progress and it's lovely to see that everyone is doing well
I'm glad to hear people are getting appointments quickly; they seem to be getting more efficient. I had a long 20 week wait between initial bloods and consultation last year.
Well an update on me. I had my transfer done January 24th and had my OTD was 6th Feb. I got a BFP!!! Couldn't believe it. Since then through, I have been hospitalised due to OHSS. It's been horrible. The 12th-22nd February have been a painful nightmare. The symptoms have subsided now, all I'm left with is a little bloating and the odd twinge.
The thing is, I'm worried to death about the pregnancy. Does having OHSS finish so soon indicate a miscarriage? Has anyone else experienced this and gone on to have a happy/healthy pregnancy? My early scan is Monday 2nd March and I'm so nervous - more than I was doing the POAS.
My friend is currently being referred to st Mary's. She has just sent back all the forms with photos etc. does anyone know what the wait time is like between sending back the forms and going in for tests and what happens at this first appointment? I can't remember that far back and thinking it may have changed now. Thanks girls.xx
Mrs PG St marys will book you for an 8 week scan but You will need to book an appointment with your GP who will then arrange your booking in with a midwife. They usually do the booking in between 8 and 10 weeks in Stockport.
Hi ladies, I've got some sad news, when I went for my appointment on Thursday i found out that unfortunately I have had a silent miscarriage. At the minute even though I have lost the baby my body still thinks I'm pregnant. I am booked in on Monday for an operation to clear everything away as my body isn't doing it naturally.
The thaw went well so I had transfer on Friday. I felt very relaxed having transfer this time so Im hoping this is the one. The doctor doing the transfer done 3 out of the 5 of mine before. She's lovely so think that made a difference. She said it's nice to see you but not nice about doing another transfer.
Good news about OTD they have changed it to 14 days instead of the usual 18! My OTD is the 12th. Feeling nothing at the minute but I am only 2dpt. I feel normal and different this time. Strange because I'm usually stressed by now. Either something is happening in there keeping me calm or I just now used to the ivf and the process.
Enough of my waffling now lol good luck to you all with what ever stage you are up too x
