Hi ladies,

Just wondering if anyone has been in the same boat. I started injecting Buserelin ten days ago amd was supposed to start my withdrawal bleed on Sunday 29th but still nothing has happened. I phoned the clinic yesterday and they said I would still need to come in for a baseline scan as planned on Monday whether I've had a bleed or not. Now I'm panicing that they're going to cancel this cycle. Has this happened to anyone else and did they have to cancel your cycle?

Thanks girls

Hi it always takes me 12 or 13 days to come on when i start Buserilin. The first time it freaked me out as clinic said it would be between 5 and 10 days. I now know its just me. Try not to worry - impossible i know!

A few things could happen - your period starts, they might give you drugs to bring it on or they might abandon and try a different way. The later not as bad as it sounds ( except frustrating if you are impatient like me!). It doesn't mean the treatment won't work just they've not found the right protocol for you yet. Some people respond better if they are put on the pill first, or they might put you on short protocol which skips the down reg bit.

My money is on af showing up in the next few days though. Let me know what happens x

Hi,

I was the same more and less as Nic.  With my first cycle I started to bleed on day 13 and with my second cycle it was day 11.

Don't panic about them cancelling your cycle.  There is lots more they can do to help you bleed if need be.

Good luck.

Hi ladies,
Thanks for your replies. Just to update you - AF finally showed up on Sunday (the day before the baseline scan). Told to go along to scan appointment whether I'd started bleeding or not. Lining was still too thick so I've got to continue with the Buserelin this week and be re-scanned next Monday. Felt so relieved when I came out of appointment coz I was sure they'd cancel this cycle or find cysts or something.

:)
