Hiya,
i know they are not giving the swine flu vaccination as routine for healthy under 5's but do you know whether or not you can demand it? It worries me sick. And I heard that you can pay for it privately at pharmacies and supermarkets, is that true? And would you just be able to get it without any sanctioning from the GP?
Thanks for any advice

I don't work in community, so I am not fully up with the rules.

I believe that most pharmacies who are administering the flu jab will be doing under the legal framework of a ''patient group direction'', and it is unlikely that children under the age of 18 will be covered by this document.

You could check with local centres who are performing the jabs to check.
I have downloaded a couple of forms from supermarket pharmacies on line and the eligibility is over 18s only.

You have to talk to the GP.
