We are going to Turkey on holiday soon for 2 weeks and the nurse at our GP practice said we all need vaccinations for tythoid and Hepatitis A.

As we are staying in a 4/5 star hotel and not planning on eating outside the complex, do we really need them?

Has anyone else taken young children to turkey and did you get them any jabs before you went?

I'm sorry I can't help but would say it's better to be safe than sorry. Perhaps ring your HV and ask her what she thinks.

we went to Turkey last year for 2weeks for Jack's 1st b'day. we didn't get him any jabs but im sure when i asked the HV at the time she said he was covered because of his baby jabs!!!!

we're are off to mexico in 5wks and j hasn't had any jabs. i asked the nurse at our surgery but to be honest she was very evasive, basically said it was my decision. she was of the opinion that as its a 5* complex and we're unlikely to eat/drink elsewhere and j is monitored he will be fine.

good luck
