My name is Joanne. I am 31 years old and have turner syndrome. Im looking into IVF and would love to find someone with turners who has any experience or success story with IVF. I would love to hear from someone that can give me a bit of hope :/

Hi Joanne. Well that is me! (wonder if there are some others here?) I totally understand your concerns. I think it depends on your general health / medical conditions and I guess every individual is different. I saw my consultant annually anyway for monitoring and we just talked to him about it. I am 35 but have a young 25 year old donor (anonymous) but hopefully that will stand in my favour.) Things have gone well so far but I'm just in the thick of it at the moment (transfer planned for next week eeek) so we'll see what happens. You're welcome to hold my hand!
Wow... im excited after reading your message! I go to a clinic in london once a year and they are great so im generally in good shape. Iv just arranged a blood test with my doctor to be tested to start the whole IVF process so im very excited although we both know we have to be prepared for any outcome.
Im so happy to hear of another turner lady about to go through this!! I hope it all goes well for you, i really do WE DESERVE THIS
I would love if you can let me know how you get on !! fingers crossed for you. Its lovely to have someone in my position!!
Thats great. It can be a lonely journey so its great to have found someone with TS here. I tend to hang out on the egg donors thread for first time cycles as well as the Leeds thread. Anyhow we got a call this morning we have 6 embies fertilised. Fingers crossed they keep going!
Wow! I am another Turners woman about to start my first cycle of IVF. I am using my sister as a donor and we are hoping to do our first transfer in new year. I'm incredibly nervous and would find it very helpful to share experiences with other Turners women. It seems you're a bit like buses because it's taken ages to find any of you and now I've found a whole bunch of you at once delighted to see some of your success stories and would love to talk further so please feel free to PM me or something,
Hey!! aww great to hear from you!! This is great to have someone else in the same position as me! (my first cycle too)
Iv had tests at the doctors for hormone levels and things and now im just waiting to be referred to the hospital.
How far are you into your first cycle?
Agree with Jo. What an amazing sister. We have a brother each (no sisters) and thats not so useful at all! Best of luck.
Jotill4: Hope you hear some more news soon. Don't be afraid to nicely ask (nudge them) if needs be to make sure they know you're waiting. I had the advantage that I was already attending the same clinic for check ups. Same clinic, same consultant, sure I still got a bit lost in the system somewhere!
Just thought I'd write a post in here to keep this thread alive and make it noticable to any lovely Turners ladies out there. Wow, it feels like my journey is just beginning now as I am hoping to go for ET in about 2 weeks...eek! Good luck to all you TS ladies out there and please introduce yourself if you're hiding out there somewhere. Would be lovely to hear from you xxx
Hi all! I am Suze a Turner's Girl new to the site and I am looking for others who might be able to answer my questions and possibly provide some much needed advice/support. I saw my registrar today who is referring me for a cardiac MRI and back to my consultant and an endo specialist. So nervous we've taken this first step! If anyone who feels up to chatting about things would like to PM me I'd really appreciate it. <3 all.
