Hi, can anyone help me here, not sure if I'm in the right place.
Had my first scan at seven weeks last Thursday and all OK...relief! I spoke to the doctor regarding the severe pain I get when I go to the loo..number twos..and he said it could be the Cyclogest pessaries or my endometriosis being aggravated by all the tx, I've had the pain since I started stimms also very bad with my bladder but now it's agony and I'm afraid to go to the loo because the pain is just too much, I'm not constipated in fact I'm normally the opposite, I'm now using the pessaries vaginally but it's making no difference at all, it's like the pain I have when I have AF and chronic endo pain. Has anyone else experienced this? I really can't go on like this but the docs suggesting trying to get through until 12 weeks so I can stop the progesterone pessaries, but what if it's not the pessaries.
Any advice would be grateful.
Thanks
xx

Hi there - I know just the pain you are talking about.  I recently had a bad bout of it when I had a BFP.  It makes you terrified to go to the loo - I got the sudden urgency then the hot sweats because of the pain when on the loo.  Unfortunately for me it ended in an early miscarriage (which i'm sure had absolutely nothing to do with the pain!), but it took a while for this to calm down -  a good 3 weeks.  I personally think it was a combo of endo pain, cyclogest, tx and other stretching etc.  I can't offer any advice really other than to perservere.  it's awful and what a shame the docs can't be more helpful (was this your gp or your fertility specialist - if gp, I suggest talking to ivf doc).
Sending you lots of good wishes - endo is a b***h!

Hi,

I too had this pain thrughout this pregnancy, it lasted until 12 weeks and I put it down to the ohss that I was suffering at the same time.

My clinic doesn't offer cyclogest after you get the BFP at end of 2ww so it wasn't this!

I just drank plenty of water, emptied bladder little and often, really hurt if your bladder filled up, ate loads of dried apricots and prunes to make bowels work better and didn't wear any tight trousers, pressure from the outside makes it so much worse!

Good luck

Thanks so much girls for replying,
I also had OHSS and thought that the pain was due to that too, maybe it is, I'm going to give it another day or two and if it's the same I'll go back to the hospital.

Thanks Again,
xx
