What are you LOs wearing to bed?

I've just gone up to a 1.5 gro bag and wonder if I should put her in a 2.5 one.  She wears short sleeved cotton pyjamas.

I haven't put heating on yet -can't bear to  ;D ;D

Heating's not on here yet either (DH said he was cold the other night and wanted to put it on, he was wearing a polo shirt so I told him to get a sweater  ::)) ...

W's in a 1.5 tog with long sleeve vest and  we're still quite snuggly with our summer / thinner duvet so I don't think he needs the 2.5 tog just yet.

Well my ds woke up crying last night which is unheard of so can only assume he was cold as there was nothing wrong. We popped him in the travel cot which is still in our room from when he had croup and he went back to sleep fine.

He's been in his 2.5 tog bag, thin cotton pj's and vest for the past few nights but his room is always a few degrees colder than the rest of the house.

So tonight he's back in a proper baby sleepsuit with feet  ^DizzyLove^ and a different 2.5 bag to see if it makes a difference  ;D

It has been bl00dy freezing at night this week, in fact I was so cold the other afternoon I sat working with  a huge wool blanket draped around me  ;D

Emily is in her 1.5 tog and a baby sleepsuit. She sleeps fine in that  :)

Amelia is in a 1 tog bag, a vest and a sleep suit, even though her hands are freezing a night, she seems quite warm and snug

Ethan's in a 1.5tog Grobag as he just won't give them up with his new dinosaur duvet on top.  He's wearing long sleeved PJ's.

Sam is wearing vest, sleepsuit and 2.5tog grobag.

I have just swapped to 2.5 tog. He wears a vest & sleepsuit. LO's room is 18 degrees at night so it needs the 2.5 tog now. Bloomin autumn!!!! where is the sun???  ::) x

K is just in PJs with a blanket and her beloved  ::) blankie!!

She hasnt been in a gro bag since she was about 8 months old i think!! She hates having anything on her at night  ^idiot^

We're in long sleeved vest and 1 tog at night, but thinking about upping to 1.5 tog soon  :)

Thomas is in a 2.5 gro bag, with a short sleved vest and a body suit with feet, he likes being quite snug at night and I tuck in a blanket over him too.

Hannah is in a 2.5 tog grobag, cotton PJs and a vest. She does not like being cold!  ;D ;D

one is just in a 1 tog gro bag nappy and tee shirt, other two have 4 tog duvets but saying that is is so hot in my house its rare in the winter for the heating to go on only in morning and odd occasion

A 1.5tog Grobag, short-sleeved vest and a long-sleeved sleepsuit...his room is 18C at night.  Think he'll need 2.5tog bag soon though, and when it gets colder still I plan to put on a long-sleeved vest too to keep his arms warm.  Useful thread, by the way, thanks!

hI A 2.5 now, as our house quite cold already.  Worry that when mid winter this won't be warm enough, and that's the highest tog isn't it.  Our house is freezing in winter, can you use blanket on top as well.

DS has been in a 1 tog with short pjs but last night before putting him to bed his room was 16-17

so i got his 2.5tog out and put him into a sleepsuite (long sleeved)

DS is in a 1 tog with vest (recent addition) and sleep suit or long pyjamas but last night he fell asleep in the car in his clothes so was in T shirt, vest and 1 tog and was freezing in the middle of the night - had to come in with mummy to cosy up  ;D

Dinky d - We have a 3 tog sleeping bag from TK Maxx and you can get higher togs online as well though can't remember where I saw them sorry  :-[  Our last house was freezing at night and if the 3 tog was in the wash I even, on the coldest of nights, put LO in a fleece sleep suit in a 2.5 tog sleeping bag.  An extra blanket didn't work for him as he does gymnastics in his cot  ;D  The 3 tog is very snuggly and cosy though - great for very cold nights.

DD is in a 2.5 tog and long sleeved PJ top with PJ shorts. Will add a vest underneath and long leg PJ bottoms when it gets colder and long sleeved vest and sleepsuit with feet at its coldest.  :) I did have her in a long sleeved vest only and 1.5 tog throughout the summer or when her room temp is over 20 degrees. When we did have that hot spell back in June it was 1 tog plus short vest or just nappy.  :)

Mae my DS was only in a vest and sleepsuit all the time through Winter and Spring until he moved into a big boy bed aged 2.5! He wouldnt use grobags at all and moved so much he wouldn't keep a blanket on ::)

DD is currently in longer sleepsuit (without feet!) no vest yet and in 1 tog. In colder weather she'll move up to a vest and long sleepsuit but use the same tog. I find 2.5 too much in a centrally heated house.

The mornings are getting colder though, DS has to snuggle in a blanket when he gets up and has his milk!

Have to say I got out my 2.5 tog bag last night and it felt so thick. I put her back in long sleeved pjs and 1.5 bag.

It is cold in the mornings - I normally end up putting the heating on for an hour.

she's still in short sleeved T shirts with vests though during the day but can't see that lasting very long.

Absolutely freezing up here, we've had heating on all weekend. DD has been in 2.5tog with long sleeve sleep suit for over a week now. We did go down to 1.5 over summer and I think there might have been 1 or 2 nights with no grobag  ::) We've had an absolutely  ^swear^ summer up here though. Spent 1k + getting the garden converted from slabbed patio to new patio and grass on the back of the Met office prediction of a BBQ summer  ^bigbad^ ^bigbad^ ^bigbad^ wonder if I can sue them for it back  ???  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm about to hunt out our winter weight duvet today for us too  ::)

Archie sleeps in a vest, babygro and 2.5 tog - he woke the other night crying and since changing tog he has slept through again.

Not very warm here in Wales.

Can you get higher than a 2.5 tog?
