I had some large follies and the others needed to catch up so my dose of menapur was reduced to keep the bigger ones and let the otheres catch up.  The bigger ones just ripened then. xx

Did your bigger ones just stop growing then?
When I mentioned doing this on my last cycle, my consultant said that wasnt possible, how does the medication know which ones to keep on working on!!!!

On my first cycle I had follies at 27mm (3 days before EC) that contained eggs... I had the same as you... some large ones and some quite alot smaller. On my second cycle my last scan showed 14 follies... Largest being 19mm... Which was tiny compare to #1... But I had 6 follies under 13mm smallest being 6mm... I was put on a higher does and for 3 more days and then triggered... At EC I got 15 eggs.

I dont think the follies stop growing, its more likely that if a follies get to big then the egg will 'hatch' as in not beable to use it.

Probably just worrying about nothing but my consultant seems to prefer EC quite early on and I,m hoping to be able to "use " the nine smaller ones. My eggs seem to have a problem with immaturity, so I believe the longer it takes for them to grow, the better. Have another scan tomorrow so will try to persuade him to leave it as long as possible. Just worried he will want to catch the larger 4.

best size follies for eggs that are neither immature or over-mature are 18-24mm when you trigger ...sure all will be fine...good luck!

Just been for scan.
Some of the small follicles have grown 8-10mm in two days so EC is scheduled for Friday.
Although I had 13 follicles, the consultant thinks will probably get 7 eggs. Can,t really complain at that, as long as theyre all good ones.!!!!
