Hi. Whats the differnce between a childs worker to a childs social worker.
We are currently at the beginning of a link, our s/w has said the childs worker has contacted the childs social worker about us.
We are baffled.
Any insight appreciated

My interpretation:
A worker could mean a number of different roles such as a keyworker at the nursery or an unqualified social work assistant, whereas the social worker will be fully qualified and will have the authority to make the relevant decision for the child.

Maybe she is like a family finder, I know our son had his social worker and also a social worker who was what they termed an adoption social worker and it was her job to find families, she visited us with our son's SW and was involved up to the 1st review, she was also the one who did all the arrangements for life appeciation day, intro's, MP, letterbox, all the thing's to do with our son's adoption really.
