Hi,

I've been put into temporary menopause for 3 months and my doctor prescribed provera to bring on AF so can can go on with fertility treatment.  I took it for 5 days with the last one on Monday.  How long does it take to get AF?  Last time I actually got AF 2 days later, but I feel absolutely no signs of AF coming.  (And I'm worried that i need something stronger as I was in menopause for 3 months).  Just wondering all of your experiecnces for those that have taken provera.

It took my friend about a week for AF to arrive after she was put in temporary menopause.

Good luck with your mock cycle.

Hi

I have taken provera several times and it varies - sometimes the bleeds starts 2-3 days after and the longest has been 14 days.  Don't worry - it will appear!

Good luck with everything.

Nacknick.

Thanks you all for your responses.  I was starting to worry as there isn't even a hint that it's on its way.

Bev, great to have an example of taking it after being put in temp menopause.  Congrats to you!

nacknick, hope it doesn't take 14 days.  Congrats to you too!
