Hi ladies!

As some of you know i had my 2nd lap on done in March 2008 to remove my endo and 2 cysts which I had on my ovaries.  I have my first appointment with the fertility specialist on the 9th of June which makes that 3 months after my lap - would that be too soon to start IVF?  I dont want to wait too long before my endo comes back but also want to be healed and 'clean' to give me a better chance for a BFP

your consultant would be the best one to decide weather it be too early for TX  but i think 3 month is a good time to heal + when you add on the time it takes to actually get started i think it would be fine, i had my tubes removed last nov + i know its different but when you take into account time to heal i would have been ready by dec to go for TX so considering what you have been through i think you will be ok but like i say you have the con to tell you whats best

goodluck

Hi

I would have thought that your Consultant would be able to give you an indication as to when you can start but 3 months sounds OK to me.  As you say you don't want to leave it any longer incase your Endo does come back.

Hi

I agree with the other ladies, your consultant will be the best person to advise you when to start IVF.

I had a lap/dye and hysteroscopy back in Feb 2007 and started IVF approx 6 weeks later.....they usually like you to have at least 1 natural cycle before starting....so 3 mths should be fine.

Good luck
