Hi Roxy
I am cycling with Genesis. The majority of their patients are Greeks, so communication is not the way an international patient expects it to be, and not easy sometimes. They are very popular, so lots of women cycling there simultaneously. You see "your" doctor on the first appointment and on transfer day, they cycle is manged by the coordinators, which means you call them to tell them the scan and blood results (if you're not in Athens from the beginning of your cycle) and if it's not a straightforward case they talk to one of the doctors and get back to you.
The positive aspect is, they are said to have some of the best doctors and embryologists in the country.
I would strongly recommend you look for a doctor outside the clinic. To design your protocol and supervise your cycle, so you could see him at his private practice, and avoid the crowd at the clinic. And do only the part from egg collection to transfer at Genesis. Perhaps the doctors at Locus Medicus can recommend somebody who cooperates with Genesis?
Or, consider another clinic. I am on an Australian forum too, Embryoland gets very positive reviews as to results, communication and more personal atmosphere.
I have thyroid issues too... This is not something you can let the clinic take care of, you need to consult your endocrinologist before cycling, about any meds that you will take while cycling. Most fertility doctors are not qualified enough to deal with thyroid issues, I had to learn this the hard way and wish I had known this beforehand.
Anything else you want to know, send me a PM, will be glad to answer
